Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026 Meet: 11:45am for 12:00pm tour departure from Roberts Gallery, 2400 Plymouth Ave N (at the corner of Bernadette Anderson Way), Minneapolis Tour departs: 12pm promptly Returns: ~1:45pm, in time for the museum's Community day program.
Celebrate Prince Rogers Nelson with a free guided walking tour of the North Minneapolis neighbourhood where he grew up — led by historian Kristen Zschomler.
Walk between Prince's childhood home and that of his cousin Charles "Chazz" Smith, visit the neighbourhood schools they attended, and hear stories of his earliest bands and performances. Along the way, Kristen weaves in the complex history of housing covenants and segregation that shaped the Northside Prince knew and loved.

Arrive before 12pm to enjoy a quiet preview of The People's Museum for Prince while you wait for the tour to begin. The gallery is open from 11:30am.
The tour returns to Roberts Gallery in time for the community day celebration at 2pm -an afternoon of sharing childhood memories of Prince,and growing up in North Minneapolis, and art activities for all ages.
Free. Limited to 25 places. One ticket per person.
