About this Event
Preceptors play an integral role in on-boarding Health Care Professionals. Research shows that strong preceptors are an essential component in adapting to new work environments, competency development and job satisfaction.The Preceptor Program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center focuses on developing talents of novice and experienced professionals through workshops and support. Professionals who are interested in becoming a preceptor, or refreshing precepting skills, can participate in the Preceptor Program with the Preceptor Treasures workshop which provides a 4.25 hr interactive overview of preceptor professionalism, factors influencing learning during orientation, differences, communication basics, feedback and difficult conversations.
The class is hosted by Nursing Education & Professional Development, but is not limited to nurses- all professionals are welcome who are interested in precepting.
If you are interested in access to an additional 2.5 hours of on-demand module preceptor introduction curriculum, please email us at [email protected] prior to your course. There is no additional charge for these modules, but creating a CloudCME continuing education account is required.
