Thank you for sticking with us through the dynamically changing environment we all have been navigating over the past couple of years. Together, we have proven our collective resolve and a remarkable resilience through uncertainty.
Recently celebrating the 10-Year Anniversary of the Capitol Steps Workout, I am so humbled and honored by your continued support.
Please join us and enjoy a full-body workout in the great outdoors in a socially fit atmosphere. This workout will help you gain muscle definition and boost your metabolism. This class focuses on endurance, agility, strength, balance and mental health/fitness through hill sprints, running up/down steps, lunges, burpees, running intervals, and ab exercises. You will be challenged and inspired!

Before participating in the Capitol Steps Workout, you will need to do one of the following:
1. Print your ticket and bring it with you to the workout. James Crumlin, or his designee, will scan your ticket and check you in for the workout.
2. You also may be checked-in by using the Eventbrite app or scanning the QR code from the event confirmation email on your cellphone.
NOTICE -- You will NOT be allowed to participate in the Capitol Steps Workout without checking-in as outlined above. NO EXCEPTIONS. This will serve as a touchless, hands-free, electronic sign-in sheet for the workout.
COVID PROTOCOLS IN PLACE
If necessary, pending evolving health guidelines and other protocols, all participants consent to have their temperature checked at check-in as outlined above and acknowledge and expressly agree to the WAIVER and ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATING TO CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 as outlined below.
By purchasing a free ticket, you expressly agree to the terms of the WAIVER below.
These protocols will evolve per new federal and state guidance.

WAIVER
By attending this event, I acknowledge that the Capitol Steps Workout is a fitness program that requires a certain amount of mental concentration, physical strength and endurance. I agree to work according to my own limitations; take full responsibility for my own safety and well-being; and release James Crumlin, and anyone else who leads the Capitol Steps Workout, from any liability associated with their fitness instruction.
Furthermore, I acknowledge that participation in the Capitol Steps Workout exposes me to a possible risk of personal injury and potential death. I am fully aware of this risk and hereby release James Crumlin, and anyone else who leads the Capitol Steps Workout, from any and all liability, negligence, or other claims, arising from, or in any way connected, with my participation in the Capitol Steps Workout. My signature further acknowledges that I shall not now, or at any time in the future, bring any legal action against James Crumlin, or anyone else who leads the Capitol Steps Workout; and that this waiver is binding on me, my heirs, my spouse, my children, my legal representatives, my successors and my assigns.
My attendance verifies that I am physically fit to participate in the Capitol Steps Workout and a licensed medical doctor has verified my physical condition for participation in this type of exercise. I also grant permission for the use of my image or likeness in photos, videos, motion pictures, recordings and testimonials for informational or promotional use.
ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATING TO CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.
I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.
I further acknowledge that the Capitol Steps Workout has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
I further acknowledge that Capitol Steps Workout cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to the CSW volunteers, participants.
I voluntarily participating in the Capitol Steps Workout and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending the Capitol Steps Workout.
I attest that:
* I am not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
* I have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days.
* I have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 10 days.
* I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
* I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities.
* I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
* I will adhere to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 guidelines set forth in the Tennessee Pledge (which can be found at https://www.tn.gov/governor/covid-19/economic-recovery/tennessee-pledge.html)
I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at the Capitol Steps Workout or participation in the Capitol Steps Workout programming (“Claims”). On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the Capitol Steps Workout, its agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Capitol Steps Workout, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Capitol Steps Workout program.
