Peaceful protest for neurodivergent and disabled children

We’re starting at the civic centre and marching down to the monument. If your following me on Facebook you’ll see how bad my sons been let down by the so called service they called cyps! We’ve also tried to be supported by the CNDS team and we also were referred into the IPBS service and we were rejected by both even though my son fits both criteria’s and the CYPS service agreed on a IPBS. Two months later we received a letter saying he’s been discharged from IPBS after they agreed to go ahead with it.
I put three formal complaints after my worker who was took off my sons case kept coming into my Facebook to spy and the three complaints were swept under the carpet!
They told our disability social worker too that if we took Leo back to hospital with no physical injuries they’d ring the police and social care on us. We’d taken Leo to hospital after he’d been awake for 5 days and he was going through psychosis he was sedated twice on the 6th day and it only made him worse and he still never went to sleep so we took him back after we left to see if he would settle at home but no he didn’t. My partner could not drive any longer either as we were exhausted! Leo was calm in the car as that’s where he wanted to be but every time we stopped he’d attack us and himself. So we took him back to the hospital and was sedated again but once again it made him worse. He ended up holding his eyes open and hyperventilating extremely fast!
That’s when the disability social worker sat us down and told us what they were going to do if we had taken him back with no physical injuries.
So when a child is in mental health crisis there is no where currently to take them for help. The crisis team is for adults suffering with mental health and self harm not children as the crisis team have to contact cyps as their the child specialist. (Clearly no specialist)
I’m wanting to change the current system that’s in place for our children!
The years of waiting and the inexperienced professionals that don’t actually have experience with our children. We need a service that doesn’t expect a parenting course to change our children’s life’s! We need a service that we can trust and depend on and not have to wait 48 hours to 7 months for a reply! we need a service with support and 24/7 hours for children in crisis.
And what we mainly need is more money put into these services so more children can receive the help they need!
So please stand with us for our children! 💙🫶🏻
