Dr Sally Rye is an Indigenous gut – brain health practitioner, researcher and life coach based in Te Whanganui a Orotu (Napier). She has completed extensive research on the gut microbiome and the gut-brain axis aligning the latest science with Indigenous knowledge, beliefs and practices surrounding kai (food).
Her latest research is located within the endocrine system investigating hormone health and how this influences the overall functioning of the body, mind and spirit.
To support the application of her research, Dr Rye has developed the Rongo ā Puku (RāP) Framework.
