You don't have to be a mental health professional to help someone find life-changing care. Sometimes, you just have to help them find the right connection.
Every day, people in our community are quietly looking for ways to support someone they love — and don’t always realize that Rock Recovery could be part of the answer. The Outreach Volunteer Corps exists to help us meet them there.
Join us for an Outreach Volunteer Corps Interest Meeting to learn how you can support Rock Recovery’s mission by helping us connect with the community through events, partnerships, and outreach efforts. This volunteer corps plays a vital role in expanding awareness of our programs and increasing access to life-saving eating disorder care.
During this session, we'll share:
- How you can make an impact: Help people discover Rock Recovery's programs and connect with potentially life-changing care.
- Ways to get involved: Represent Rock Recovery at community events, identify new partnership opportunities, or support outreach efforts remotely.
- How volunteering can fit your life: Explore flexible in-person and remote opportunities that align with your skills, interests, and availability.
- How we'll support you: Learn about training, resources, and next steps for becoming part of the Outreach Volunteer Corps.
Whether you're outgoing and love connecting with people or prefer contributing behind the scenes, we'd love to explore how your unique strengths could help advance our mission.
There's no obligation to join. This is simply an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, meet the Rock Recovery team, and see if the Outreach Volunteer Corps is a good fit for you.

Rock Recovery - A mental health nonprofit based in Arlington, VA whose mission is to make life-saving eating disorder treatment and support accessible to all. Founded in 2009, Rock Recovery exists to help people break out of isolation and find real freedom from disordered eating and body image issues. Rock Recovery offers holistic, affordable outpatient care for eating disorders to individuals and families across DC, MD, & VA. To date, Rock has provided more than 500 individuals with life-changing eating disorder therapy and provided education and support to nearly 20,000 more.
