Open House at the Pat Conroy Literary Center

Come celebrate Pat Conroy’s birthday with an evening of good food, drinks, music, and memories beneath the beautiful live oaks at the Pat Conroy Literary Center. Enjoy the soulful sounds of Scott Gibbs and the Beaufort Mass Choir (Gullah singers), raise a glass with friends and fellow Conroy fans, and indulge in birthday cake as we celebrate the life and legacy of one of the Lowcountry’s most beloved writers.

Guests are invited to relax outdoors under the oaks, with the opportunity to explore the Conroy Center and its exhibits inside. We’ll also enjoy a short program featuring our new Executive Director, Robert Gwaltney, as we look ahead to the next chapter of the Center.

It’s a festive, informal evening of community, conversation, and celebration—and a wonderful way to honor Pat Conroy on his birthday.
