About this Event
We are inviting you to join the Opening Ceremony and an Uncensored Q&A with Serhiy Sternenko. It’s not simply with a cultural event, but with one of the biggest and most important missions for Ukrainians abroad — helping protect Ukraine. And doing it in the most effective way possible.
That is why this year we are joining forces with one of the most well-known modern Odesans — Serhiy Sternenko.
Our goal is to raise $1 million for interceptor drones to help protect the skies over Ukraine.
The more we raise, the more cities we will be able to help protect during attacks.
Every contribution is more than a donation. It is a chance to intercept a threat before it reaches the ground. A chance to save lives. A real action that makes a real difference.
Maple Hope Foundation, Ukrainian Cultural Society, and Sternenko Foundation, with the support of Second Front, are announcing a large-scale fundraiser launching as part of Odesa Week Vancouver 2026.
Join us at BCIT for the opening of and a live Q&A with Serhiy Sternenko — an opportunity to learn more about:
- the vision and program behind Odesa Week Vancouver 2026
- the large-scale fundraiser to help protect the Ukrainian sky
- the work of Serhiy Sternenko and his foundation
- how the Ukrainian community abroad can become not just witnesses to events, but a real force supporting Ukraine
This year, Odesa in Vancouver is not only about culture, memory, and the connection between cities. It is about action and responsibility. About the strength of community and our shared ability to help protect Ukraine — even from across the ocean.
Join us. Ask questions. Be part of it.
ADMISSION IS FREE
DONATIONS IN SUPPORT OF THE FUNDRAISER ARE WELCOME

Why "Sternenko Community" Charitable Foundation?
The Foundation has supplied 34,644+ anti-drone systems "Sting", destroyed 9,735+ targets, and supported 350+ military units. They have proven themselves.
This partnership is not a coincidence. Odesa became a sister city to Vancouver during the Second World War — at a time when wounded Canadian soldiers were returning from the front lines and the City of Vancouver was preparing housing, rehabilitation, and support for brave men and women who fought against Nazism.
Today, history echoes once again.
