Nuffield College Art Collection Tours | Oxford Open Doors 2026

Join a guided tour of Nuffield College's remarkable art collection as part of Oxford Open Doors 2026.

Developed over more than seventy years, the collection includes paintings, sculptures, and other works by leading modern and contemporary artists. Rather than being housed in a dedicated gallery, artworks are displayed throughout the College, forming an integral part of its buildings and shared spaces.

This guided tour will explore selected works from the collection and offer insights into its history, development, and continuing significance within College life. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about the relationship between art, architecture, and landscape at Nuffield College.

Tours will be led by Emeritus Fellow and former Nuffield Art Fellow Richard Mayou, who has been closely involved in the stewardship and development of the College's art collection for many years.
