About this Event

For people interested in applying for the .

  • Wednesday 1 July (in-person)
  • Thursday 2 July (in-person)

AND
  • Friday 19 September (in-person AND virtual - please see below about how to register for the online event)

The Ruskin's in-person events will take place in the morning of each Oxford University Open Day. We recommend that prospective candidates use the afternoon to visit colleges offering Fine Art places (see BFA-affiliated colleges on the RSA website) and attend other University events.
10.30am - 1.00pm: 128 Bullingdon Road, Oxford OX4 1QP (doors open 10.15)

The Ruskin's purpose-built site in East Oxford (studios, print studio, sculpture workshops, media lab & edit suites, and Project Space) will be open to prospective candidates, with tours of the facilities before and after the BFA talk.

  • 11am - 12.30pm: Project Space, Bullingdon Road - talk and Q&As

The talk covers the BFA course content, teaching and resources at the Ruskin and information about the admissions process.

After the talk, there will also be optional tours of the nearby first-year studios (1-2pm).

Places are limited (90 per event), though we try to accomodate all prospective candidates on the day. Booking is not essential but if you reserve your place, we can send you some advance information shortly before the Open Day. Reservations are free - only 1 place per booking.

Our Open Day events are always over-subscribed, so due to space limitations, we regret that only potential candidates can attend the talks and tours, and we are not able to accommodate accompanying family, carers and friends (except by special arrangement - see below). We thank you for your consideration and understanding that our priority is to include all prospective students who may be applying in October.
For those unable to travel to Oxford to attend in person, please join us for our online event on the afternoon of Friday 18 September. Please register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1988625151360

Please be aware that the Open Days take place outside term-time, so there will be no student activity in the studios and workshops. Prospective applicants may want to visit the 2026 Ruskin Degree Shows, which will be held at our Bullingdon Road studios over the weekend of Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June. Further details will be published on the website in due course, but in the meantime, you can view details of previous Degree Shows here:
