NCHS: Meditation in Nature – Love Parks Week
About this Event
Whitworth Park & Alex Bernstein Garden, FREE
Meditation in Nature is an opportunity for you to switch-off and experience a deep sense of calm whilst enjoying the beauty of the grounds at The Whitworth. When we are mindful in nature, we are able to be in the present moment much quicker than if we were indoors, this is because nature offers us an abundance of beauty and our natural curiosity is heightened by the sights, sounds and smells. At the end of the session, you will experience feeling lighter, less stressed and having a sense that you have connected to something bigger than yourself. These sessions are delivered by our Natural and Cultural Health Service Partner, Lilasuri (Claire) Morris from Wild Awake Mindfulness.
In honour of Love Parks Week, we invite you to the Alex Bernstein Garden for a meditation in nature session rooted in gratitude and presence. Together we’ll slow down, practise mindful awareness, and deepen our connection to the park — noticing how these shared green spaces nourish both individual wellbeing and collective care. Open to all — no previous mindfulness experience required.
To attend, please arrive no later than 5:55pm and meet by the park side reception. Please note that entry to the gallery after 5pm is via the Oxford Road entrance.
