About this Event
Join Ray for a gentle weekly meditation and somatic breathwork class at Yellowave Beach House on the Hove seafront.
This is a calm, grounding space designed to help you slow down and settle your nervous system. The room is filled with natural light and overlooks the sea, offering a quiet, steady environment to arrive as you are.
Each session blends guided meditation, gentle somatic breathwork, and simple grounding practices. Some weeks include light, optional movement to help release tension before settling into stillness. Everything is offered at a slow, supportive pace.
You do not need any experience. There is no expectation to sit perfectly still or “clear your mind.” This is a practical and accessible meditation space.
After class, you are welcome to stay for a coffee or warm drink in the Yellowave café, looking out over the beach. You can connect with others or ease gently into the rest of your day.
This class may be a good fit if you:
• feel stressed, overwhelmed, or mentally busy
• struggle to switch off or relax
• want a calmer start to your morning
• find traditional meditation difficult
• want to build a simple weekly meditation habit
• prefer small, supportive group spaces
What to expect each week:
• gentle arrival and grounding
• breath awareness and regulation
• optional somatic movement
• a themed guided meditation
• closing rest and quiet reflection
The group is intentionally small, allowing plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere.
What to bring:
Yoga mats are provided. You are welcome to bring an eye mask, water, warm layers, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable, such as a blanket.
Accessibility and safety:
This is a neurodivergent friendly and trauma aware space.
You are always in control.
You are welcome to:
• move or change position
• stim or fidget
• sit, lie down, or take pauses
• step out if needed
Mats are provided, and seated options are available.
Some participants choose to sit on a chair rather than the floor. If you would like a chair set up for you, please message me in advance so I can make sure the space is arranged comfortably.
If you have epilepsy, a severe heart condition, unmanaged high blood pressure, active psychosis, or are pregnant, please contact me beforehand so I can advise or adapt the practice.
Practical information: Pay-by-phone parking is available along the Hove seafront. There is also bicycle parking on-site.
Refund policy: Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are transferable to a friend or can be used as credit for a future session with at least 24 hours’ notice.
