MOONWAKE: AFTERLIGHT

Moonwake: Afterlight is a curated short film festival bringing together emerging filmmakers from across Canada for an intimate theatrical screening at Ottawa’s historic Mayfair Theatre.

The afternoon will feature a selection of short films (maximum 12 minutes each), followed by brief live Q&As with participating filmmakers. The program concludes with a special screening of When It Rains, written and directed by Ruth Kabengele.

Afterlight is centered on atmosphere, connection, and storytelling that lingers an invitation to gather, watch, and experience cinema together in a shared space.
