Todd and Damian return once again to take us deeper into Contact.
Using Contact Improvisation principles and techniques we will explore moving in and out of connection as we dance with others while hearing music. We'll examine how to weave a tapestry of dancing connection within ourselves, our environment and with other dancers.
First, we dance with ourselves. Second, we dance with everything around us. Third, we dance with others.
How can we integrate our entire being-ness into the navigation of those three available points of connection in a way that deeply fulfills us? How can we dance with ourselves and others in our environment and be super connected? What skills help us accomplish movement with others that feels ECSTATIC? (isn't that what we're after?) Come explore!
Beginners Mind is an introductory play-shop series for all of us, regardless of experience or perceived ability. Come practice your fundamentals with experienced, inexperienced, and non-judgmental dance partners. You won’t get it wrong, You are a dancer! It is time to set yourself FREE!
