This richly varied recital of passion, lyricism, and theatrical brilliance will explore the golden age of Italian opera alongside powerful American song and beloved crossover classics, bringing together a wide-ranging selection of music that showcases both emotional depth and dazzling vocal artistry.
Highlights include operatic gems by Bellini, Verdi, Donizetti, Bizet and Puccini including Casta diva, La donna è mobile, Una furtiva lagrima, Vissi d'arte and the celebrated Flower Song from Carmen.
Gershwin’s Summertime and evocative American songs by Margaret Bonds and André Previn complete the programme, together with some timeless Italian songs such as O sole mio and Mattinata.
