Fantastic Forms brings together an extraordinary collection of Boyd’s sketches and pottery with contemporary works by Nabilah Nordin, Stephen Benwell and Rubyrose Bancroft, creating a vibrant conversation across generations of Australian artists.
Join Boe-Lin Bastian, Bundanon curator and curator of Fantastic Forms, as she explores Boyd’s legacy beyond his title as the “father of studio pottery.”
The talk will delve into Boyd’s expansive creative practice and reveal how the featured contemporary artists connect with, reinterpret and respond to his remarkable body of work.

About the exhibition
Fantastic Forms captures the energy, movement and colour in the expansive creative practice of Merric Boyd (1888-1959). Featuring over 200 drawings and ceramics by Boyd from the Bundanon Collection, in dialogue with contemporary works by Rubyrose Bancroft, Stephen Benwell and Nabilah Nordin, this exhibition celebrates the endless creativity of the human imagination.
