Kinders van die Wind is a live musical performance led by seasoned South African artist MAYNARD, accompanied by a dynamic three-piece live band.
The show unfolds as a chronological musical journey through iconic songs from different eras, seamlessly blending English and Afrikaans to reconnect audiences with the timeless classics that have shaped their lives.
Through reminiscent renditions of timeless favourites – ranging from Music Was My First Love, Purple Rain and Donʼt Stop Believing to Kinders van die Wind, Lisa se Klavier and Vier Seisoene Kind – alongside original compositions by MAYNARD, the performance is infused with nostalgia while speaking powerfully to the present. Each song reflects on legacy, responsibility, and the shared role of past and current generations in shaping a society where children are empowered to flourish.
Adding further depth to the evening, the concert is presented in aid of raising funds for Maynard's upcoming graduation ceremony in Wales, United Kingdom, where he will be awarded a masterʼs degree in Educational Leadership.
