Description:

I Deliver Parcels in Beijing is an honest and startling first-person portrait of Hu Anyan's struggle against the dehumanizing nature of our contemporary global work system and his discovery of the power of sharing a story and insights into consumption culture from within Mainland China. *This event will be translated and conducted bilingually in Chinese and English.


About the Speaker:

Hu Anyan was born in 1979. He began writing in 2009. His works have appeared online and in some periodicals. In 2023, he published his autobiography of working as a migrant worker, I Deliver Parcels in Beijing. In 2024, he published his collection of essays, 我比世界晚熟 and 生活在低處. He currently lives in Chengdu.

The Hong Kong International Literary Festival (HKILF) inspires the joy of reading by bringing the world’s writers and stories to Hong Kong’s diverse communities.
