Description:
Join bestselling author and journalist Bonnie Tsui for a thought-provoking conversation on the body, movement, and what it means to be human. Drawing from her acclaimed books Why We Swim and On Muscle, Tsui explores our deep relationship with physical movement—from the pull of water to the power of muscle. Why We Swim, a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice and TIME Must-Read, journeys through extraordinary swimming cultures and personal stories across the globe. In On Muscle, Tsui turns inward, examining how muscle shapes strength, beauty, resilience, and identity. Blending science, culture, and lyrical storytelling, this event invites audiences to reconsider the physical body not just as biology, but as meaning, memory, and possibility.
