🚶‍♂️🌄 LA Biotech Hike — Betty B. Dearing + Rainforest Trail + Brunch! 🌄🚶‍♀️

Weather permitting, join us this March as we explore the beautiful Betty B. Dearing Trail, Rainforest Trail, and Fryman Canyon Trail. Choose your own adventure — turn around whenever you’d like or complete the full moderately strenuous 7-mile loop.

The Rainforest Trail is a true hidden gem. With the recent rains, expect it to be especially lush and vibrant — fragrant with sage, eucalyptus, and gum trees. 🌿✨

LA Biotech Hikes take place on the first Saturday of every month (postponed if it falls on a holiday weekend). Our mission is simple: build community, foster an active lifestyle, and spark innovation by bringing together the incredible people who make up LA’s biotech ecosystem.

Family, friends, and pets are all welcome! 🐾

Afterwards, we’ll head to brunch at Good Neighbor Restaurant in Studio City for a well-earned bite and coffee. 🧇☕

DIRECTIONS

Take Coldwater Canyon to Mulholland Drive toward Laurel Canyon, until you see the sign for the Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook. You’ll pass a few vista points on the way, but Nancy Hoover is what you’re looking for. You’ll turn into a parking lot with substantial parking — there’s also plentiful street parking. There is no restroom or water either at the trail head or on the trail itself. From the parking lot, keep right at the sign and head past the white gate to find yourself on the trail. You’ll find yourself on a dirt path with telephone poles on your right.
