Florida Orienteering volunteers teach the class as outreach to the community who have an interest in navigation utilizing a map and compass.
This class is an intro to the sport:
What is Orienteering
How to read an orienteering map and decipher terrain.
Intro to some map & compass navigational techniques
and
Info about apps used to complement our live events.
The class is in a classroom setting and sample compasses are available to use, or bring your own.
