Mead Botanical Garden Volunteer Orientation

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Mead Botanical Garden! We are a small 501(c)3 non-profit with a staff of 4, so we rely heavily on the help of community volunteers like you to keep this 47 acre free garden public garden looking beautiful! We welcome your assistance to help keep our garden maintained and can’t wait for you to join our volunteer team.

What to bring?

• your own set of garden gloves (if you have them)
• a water
• any small garden tools you may like to use (optional)
• wear some comfortable clothes you don’t mind working and getting a little dirty in.

Location: Volunteers will meet at the picnic tables, on your left past the main entrance and greenhouse. You may park in the gravel parking area.

Schedule: We plan to get started at 10:00 a.m. We will start with a garden overview, then we will do some volunteer gardening and maintenance, followed by a tour of the grounds.
