Making Space for Native Plants

Fourth Sunday volunteer session
Sunday afternoon we return to the Savanna Pond area.
We'll W**d any remaining garlic mustard, prune new growth from cut buckthorn, and pull/dig smaller buckthorn seedlings--being careful not to disturb too much soil.
Follow signs leading you to the work site from the FRONT GATE KIOSK of the Garden.
(We work adjacent to Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden in Theodore Wirth Park. The Garden itself is maintained by dedicated Minneapolis Park Board staff. Our work helps protect their efforts.)
No need to register ahead of time. No experience necessary. We provide tools, bags, training and gloves. Bring your own water and snacks.
There may be ticks and poison ivy in the area. Dress appropriately (long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes).
Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
