Apothecary Kids

I’m so excited to introduce Apothecary Kids, a three-class herbal series designed to empower children with real, life-changing knowledge about plants, natural healing, and the world growing right around them 🌱✨

This series is hands-on, interactive, educational, and FUN. Kids will learn directly from a Master Herbalist & Naturopath, supported by my own children—who are already very comfortable with herbs—and guided every step of the way in a safe, supportive learning environment.

This is about planting seeds early: teaching kids how to listen to their bodies, understand plants, and build confidence in natural wellness.

This is life-changing information, shared in a way kids can understand, remember, and carry with them for years to come.

Series Overview

Class 1: Plants vs. Problems

📅 Sunday, May 24, 2026 🕝 2:30–4:00 PM

We’ll kick off the series by grounding ourselves in 10 local herbs. Kids will learn:

• How to identify each herb
• What each plant is used for
• How herbs support the body naturally
  Then we’ll play the beloved “My Problems vs. Plants” game 🎲🌿 Using mock case studies, kids will work together to recommend herbs that could support natural healing—building confidence, critical thinking, and herbal intuition.

Class 2: Herbal Tea Party & Blend Creation

📅 Sunday, June 14, 2026 🕝 2:30–4:00 PM

This session is always a favorite ☕💚 We’ll explore 8 additional herbs, focusing on:

• Medicinal benefits
• Taste, aroma, and plant personality
• How herbs support families at home
  Then each child will create their own signature medicinal tea blend to take home—something they can use themselves and share with their family.

Class 3: Herbal Scavenger Hunt & Plant Walk

📅 Sunday, July 12, 2026 🕐 1:00 PM start time (special time) 📍 4900 Mississippi Dr N, Minneapolis, MN 55430 Carl W. Kroening Nature Center

This final session brings everything together 🌳🌼

• We’ll begin with a guided plant walk, identifying 8 new herbs in their natural habitat
• Each child will receive an herbal information sheet
• Kids will then work alongside their parent or adult to locate each herb in the wild during a herbal scavenger hunt
  🎁 Prizes included! Every child who completes the scavenger hunt will receive a prize.

👉 A parent or adult is required to attend this session with their child.
