Federal Park is one of Wallsend's most used green spaces — a place where kids play, families gather, and our community comes together.
But like many of our local parks and streets, it's been collecting more than memories lately.
We're inviting you to roll up your sleeves and join us for a community clean-up of Federal Park. Whether you can spare an hour or stay for the whole morning, every pair of hands makes a real difference.
📍Meet: Federal Park Playground
🥾What to bring: Sturdy shoes, a water bottle, gloves if you have them, and a friend!
All equipment — bags, gloves and grabbers — will be provided on the day. Afterwards, we'd love to stick around, grab lunch, and celebrate the work we've done together.
This is our neighbourhood. Let's keep it something we're proud of.
There may be sporting games taking place, so we will work around the fields and into surrounding hotspot areas.
Join us for lunch and a drink afterwards at venue TBD on the day.
