Louis Rebeiro & Friends — An Incredible Evening of Jazz + Blues
Kidogo Arthouse presents Louis Rebeiro & Friends — An Incredible Evening of Jazz + Blues, live in Fremantle on Saturday 5 September 2026 as part of Joanna's "Kidogo Winter Candlelit Soiree Series", returning this winter with a brilliant line-up of WA and East Coast artists, and our famous nostalgic menus.
Fresh from his standout appearance on ABC's The Piano — hosted by Amanda Keller and mentored by Guy Sebastian and Andrea Lam — Perth-based blues and jazz musician Louis Rebeiro has become one of the most exciting young artists emerging from Western Australia.
A pianist at heart, Louis is a remarkable multi-instrumentalist who also plays guitar and saxophone while delivering powerful vocals. His sound blends traditional blues, jazz and rock 'n' roll, and his energetic stage presence and improvisational style have made him a standout performer on the WA live music scene and beyond. Audiences are drawn in by his mix of boogie-woogie piano, soulful blues guitar and jazz-infused arrangements.
Louis's musical journey began in Perth, where he gained early attention as a self-taught piano prodigy. A viral performance on the Fremantle public piano at the age of nine led to an appearance on Little Big Shots Australia. Since then, he has won two gold medals representing Australia at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, and he is currently studying at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) under renowned Perth pianists Tom O'Halloran, Tal Cohen, Harry Mitchell and Russell Holmes.
He has shared the stage with some of the music world's finest — including Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys, two-time Grammy winner Lucky Oceans, Ellis Hall (USA), Larry Mitchell (USA), Michele Di Toro (Italy), Pablo Calzado & Erne Castillo's Cuba Young Guns, Al Bano (Italy) and Grammy-winning trumpeter Ashlin Parker (USA). Today, Louis performs across Perth and Western Australia both as a solo artist and with his band, Louis Rebeiro & The Blues Machine, and has toured internationally across Europe, the United States and Asia.
"Louis is a ridiculous talent." — ★★★★★, Fringefeed
For one special night at Kidogo Arthouse, Louis brings together a hand-picked band of friends for an evening of high-energy jazz and blues — exactly the kind of music this candlelit, ocean-side room was made to hold.
About the Winter Series
This winter we're feeling a little nostalgic — so we're returning to our Soiree roots, bringing back the simple menus that launched our Soiree Series in the middle of Covid and made us famous. Expect a delicious, home-cooked "nostalgic" supper, served with soul. No table menus — you'll see the night's menu when you choose your artist and book your tickets.
We're proudly not a restaurant. Kidogo is an artist's concept of the best night out — a beautiful heritage venue perched beside the ocean (you can hear the waves as you eat), with stunning ambience, cosy candlelit lighting, spectacular acoustics, and curated high-end, collectable original art on the walls. Paired with the very best of Australian singers, songwriters and musicians, it's an unforgettable evening — and nothing like anywhere else in WA.
So simple. So homely. So nostalgic. Very intimate.
We're a small venue with a huge, loyal following — and our tickets always sell out fast.
