Kidogo Arthouse presents Emily Gelineau & Danilo Da Paz - Songs & Music from France to Brazil, live in Fremantle on Friday 4 September 2026 as part of Joanna’s "Kidogo Winter Candlelit Soiree Series", returning this winter with a brilliant line-up of WA and East Coast artists, and our famous nostalgic menus.
Emily Gelineau & Danilo Da Paz are an internationally-recognised musical duo exploring all corners of the world: from French and Gypsy Jazz, through Brazilian rhythms, to the smoky pulse of Tango, woven into performances shaped by years of travelling and playing around the globe.
Australian-born Emily Gelineau is a GRAMMY Award-winning violinist, vocalist, pianist, composer and arranger whose international career spans jazz, world music and contemporary styles. A graceful and commanding performer, she has graced international jazz festivals and luxury cruise stages as a Guest Entertainer.
Originally from Brazil, Danilo Da Paz is an acclaimed accordionist and guitarist who now calls Australia home. His playing carries the warmth and charisma of his homeland, with samba, bossa nova and Latin fusion sitting effortlessly alongside the European sounds of the duo's repertoire.
Together, Emily and Danilo create something rare: an evening that travels from the cafés of Paris to the streets of Rio, and every soulful place in between. Stripped back, intimate, and made for candlelight, this is exactly the kind of room their music was built for.
About the Winter Series
This winter we're feeling a little nostalgic! so we're returning to our Soiree roots, bringing back the simple menus that launched our Soiree Series in the middle of Covid and made us famous. Expect a delicious, home-cooked "nostalgic" supper, served with soul. No table menus, you'll see the night's menu when you choose your artist and book your tickets.
We're proudly not a restaurant. Kidogo is an artist's concept of the best night out: a beautiful heritage venue perched beside the ocean (you can hear the waves as you eat), with stunning ambience, cosy candlelit lighting, spectacular acoustics, and curated high-end, collectable original art on the walls. Paired with the very best of Australian singers, songwriters and musicians, it's an unforgettable evening, and nothing like anywhere else in WA.
So simple. So homely. So nostalgic. Very intimate.
We're a small venue with a huge, loyal following - and our tickets always sell out fast.
Menu
All suppers begin with Joanna's homemade Irish soda bread, served warm from the oven, followed by your choice of soup:

To finish, a classic crème brûlée - with a vegan, gluten-free ice cream available on request. (GF, Vegan)
