The American Red Cross Lifeguarding course provides entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until more advanced personnel take over. 🏊♀️Participants who successfully complete all elements of the course will receive 2-year certification in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for professional rescuers (CPR-PRO).
Class Size: 6 participants
Age: must be age 15 by the course conclusion date
Course requirements:
• Pre-course Swim Test
• Online Course
• Independent Study Guide
• 3 In-person Skills Sessions
Participants must register at least 1 week prior to the scheduled Skills Sessions.
