Lhatsik Harutkshi (Moving Stories) Wiyot Film Festival

The Lhatsik Harutkshi (Moving Stories) Wiyot Film Festival will open at the historic Eureka Theater on Friday, November 20, and continue at the Arcata Theater Lounge on Saturday, November 21.
Now in its third year, the festival showcases films that raise awareness of contemporary Indigenous cultures, languages, and movements. The festival also serves as a fundraiser for the Wiyot Tribe's Cultural Department while supporting local, national, and international Indigenous filmmakers.
Held at a time of year when few other events take place, our goal is to grow this festival into a premier destination for both local and out-of-town film enthusiasts. The event is open to the public, welcoming people of all backgrounds. By accepting both local and international submissions, we aim to reach global audiences, sharing the richness of contemporary Wiyot culture and language while raising awareness of the pressing Indigenous issues of our time.
There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door. All entry and submission fees are waived for Wiyot Tribal members.
