Launchpad: Idea to Impact
About this Event
Most entrepreneurship events send you home inspired and empty-handed.
Launchpad is built to send you home with three things instead: an idea worth chasing, a tool you can actually use, and someone worth calling.
On Saturday, August 22, BC-India Business Network is bringing together a room of people at Trinity Western University's Richmond campus. Students working out where to start. Founders who shipped something last month and are still learning who it's for. Engineers and designers who want to build something of their own. Mentors and business leaders who remember exactly what that felt like.
The afternoon runs in four parts. A founder tells the honest version of their story — the decisions, the mistakes, what they'd do differently. A workshop puts one practical tool in your hands. Then four or five early-stage founders take the floor, not to demo polished products, but to explain the problem they're solving, what they've learned so far, and what they need next: cofounders, technical partners, people who want in early. Then an open hour with refreshments, mentors on hand, and time to actually talk to someone.
If you have an idea, come and work out what to do with it. If you've already built something, come and find the people who'll build it with you. And if you're just curious what's happening in this community, that works too.
Doors open at 1:30 PM. The program starts at 2:00 PM. Refreshments provided.
