This lantern workshop is for the Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade on September 19!

These are lantern creature heads (from your imagination) based on hats. They aim to be a comfortable crown jewel in your costume collection. The framing is reed and sticks. The covering is fabric attached with hot glue. BYO critter idea and fabric from unwanted clothes/thrift/abandoned sewing projects. Hats, lighting, a selection of fabric, and all the rest of the materials are provided. There are 8 spaces in the class.

Please look at this map to the Lantern Parade Studio! The Lee+White entrance is on White St. Make a left and go all the way to the Lee St. end. We are undeneath the dentist and chiropractor. Look for the red Krewe flag. The first two hours of parking are free, then it is $6 for the next four hours. There is free parking in the neighborhood across the street.
Here are the parade details , other workshops, and the route map. We line-up at 7:15 on Tift Ave & Lucile St. at Adair Park II and step-off at 8:00pm. It's a 1.4 mile walk to the finish at Lee + White.
