Volunteer to Puppeteer with the Krewe in the Beltline Lantern Parade!

Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons is looking for a few fun folks to volunteer to be little Happy Kid puppets and march with giant puppets, Mr. & Mrs. Happy, in the Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade! The Happpies are the first giant puppets built for the Beltline Lantern Parade and they turn sweet 16 this year. We also need someone to carry the Great Pumpkin! This is a great way to get involved with the Krewe. We hope to call you for Weird Things, too!

Qualifications: 17-100 years-old, can walk 1.5 miles, silly by nature, love making strangers smile, wouldn’t dream of not showing up. You are available for parade day, Saturday, September 19, 7pm-10pm and the rain date, Saturday, September 26, 7pm-10pm

We'll have a fun meet-n-greet night and rehearse the puppets at the studio with Mr. & Mrs. Happy!

! The Lee+White entrance is on White St. Make a left and go all the way to the Lee St. end. We are undeneath the dentist and chiropractor. Look for the red Krewe flag. The first two hours of parking are free, then it is $6.

Here are the parade details , other workshops, and the route map. We line-up at 7:15 on Tift Ave & Lucile St. at Adair Park II and step-off at 8:00pm. It's a 1.4 mile walk to the finish at Lee + White.
