Adults-Only Lantern PUPPET Workshop for the Beltline Lantern Parade!
About this Event
This lantern workshop is for the Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade on September 19!
It's silly good fun to parade with a lantern puppet! These lantern puppets are very easy and can be as simple or elaborate as you like. Think of them as a fantastical second-self, a playful critter native to the world of lantern parade! They are made from a 16” globe lantern decorated with colored tissue paper on a carry-stick with paper arms and body. All materials are provided including lights and batteries. You are welcome to bring a beverage and a snack. Please do your best to be on time to get all the instructions and finish your puppet in 2-3 hours.
Please look at this map to the Lantern Parade Studio! The Lee+White entrance is on White St. Make a left and go all the way to the Lee St. end. We are undeneath the dentist and chiropractor. Look for the red Krewe flag.
This workshop is with lantern parade artist, Chantelle Rytter, founder of the Beltline Lantern Parade and several others. Chantelle is the proud Captain of the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons. See more of their parades and lantern-making ideas at www.weirdgonepro.com.
