Facilitators: Sharmila Chauhan (storytelling), Ratna Shah (sound bath and reiki) and Rajbir Singh (yoga and meditation).
Join us for an afternoon exploring the Pancha Maha Bhutas, the five great elements of earth, water, fire, air and space and the ways they shape, sustain and connect us.
Rooted in the spirit of Kutumb (kinsfolk), this workshop invites us into a space of cultural reconnection, ancestral remembering, and shared belonging. The elements are not only found in nature, but within our bodies, our breath, our rituals, our stories, our food, and the memories carried through our lineages.
Through storytelling, yoga, meditation and sound, we will gather in reverence of the elements, honouring the ways they live within us, move through us, and connect us to the world around us.
This session is open to all whether you are completely new to spiritual practice or returning to familiar ground. We will meet you where you are, coming together to share our experiences, remember what binds us, and draw strength from being together in community.
Who is this for: This is a safe space for people of the South Asian diaspora from any faith.
You do not have to have any prior knowledge or experience to join us.
Adults and older teenagers are welcome.
What to bring
Come as you are. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle, along with any extra layers, blanket or small comforts that help you feel at ease. We will have a limited number of bolsters and blankets available and mats will be provided.
You'll be invited to engage with the practices in ways that honour your own body, needs and experience.
