We’re kicking off 2025 with the first Koko Night of the year, and this time, it’s extra special! We are doubling the celebration by officially launching Moana Mālie, Moana Vā’s new health and wellbeing programme.

Join us for an evening filled with connection, talanoa, and entertainment as we celebrate the start of an impactful new year. This is a chance to come together, meet new people, and learn about the exciting initiatives Moana Mālie will offer to support physical, mental, and holistic health within the Pacific Rainbow community and allies.
About Moana Mālie - Health & Wellbeing Programme:
Physical Health:
- Moana Games: A vibrant two-day netball tournament promoting diversity, connection, and inclusivity.
- Quail Island Family Tramp (Jan 25): A guided 2.5-hour walk for all ages, including a ferry trip from Lyttelton.
- Yoga with Pele: Relaxing sessions (details to follow).
- Moana Vibes: Music and movement sessions (March to September).
- Wellness Wero: An 8-week tailored health and wellbeing programme led by Jessee James.
Mental Health:
- Mental Wealth by Le Va: Training on managing anxiety, depression, and mental distress.
- FLO Talanoa Workshop by Le Va: A culturally safe suicide prevention programme.
Healthy Habits:
- Puāwai - Kai: An 8-week lifestyle and cooking course for health and connection through food.
