About this Event
Kids Euro Fest is back! Bring the whole family for this year's event, a day packed with performances, story times, crafts, activities and workshops from 15 European countries — each dedicated to teaching and entertaining children ages 2-12.
Please note: This event is for children accompanied by their parents or guardians. No children will be admitted without an adult, and no adult will be admitted without their child. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
Location Information
Organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States in partnership with the Embassy of Spain - Spanish Cultural Center, this year's Kids Euro Fest is hosted at the Spanish Cultural Center (2801 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20009). Activities will take place throughout the venue both inside and outside (weather permitting). Please enter at the ramped entrance on the corner of 16th and Fuller St NW.
Food and drink will be available for purchase - a list of vendors will be shared closer to the event date. Families are also welcome to bring their own food.

Performance Schedule
All performances will take place on the stage located in ballroom to the left of main entrance
- 10:15-10:45am: Traditional Bulgarian Folkdance, Music & Theater – Bulgarian Educational and Cultural Center “St. Kliment Ohridski”
- 11-11:30am: Irish Dance Performance – Culkin School of Irish Dance
- 12:30-1pm: Ukrainian Traditional Folk Dance, Bandura & Violin Performances – Taras Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies, DC Music Academy and SLAVA School of Ukrainian Music and Dance
- 1:15-1:45pm – Irish Dance Performance – District Academy of Irish Dance

Story Time Schedule
All story times will take place in the story time corner located in the tiled patio area
- 10:30am: Malta
- 11am: Portugal
- 11:30am: Spanish (Bilingual)
- 12pm: Malta
- 12:30pm: Netherlands
- 1pm: Portugal
- 1:30pm: Spanish (Bilingual)

Workshops & Activities: 10:00am – 2:00pm (Located throughout the Spanish Cultural Center and outdoors)
Austria: Build a Ski Star (Ages 4-10)
Did you know there are 400 ski regions in Austria with over 4,300 miles of ski slopes? Learn about the Austrian Alps, build your own ski star and take their picture on our own little ski-hill.
Bulgaria: Crafts & Coloring (Ages 2-10)
Make traditional Bulgarian crafts and color in Bulgarian costumes and houses with the Bulgarian Educational and Cultural Center.
Croatia: Crafts, Puzzles, Photos & Candy (Ages 2-10)
Color and design your own paper necktie, a traditional Croatian accessory for girls and boys, visit our puzzle station featuring famous Croatian landmarks, and snap a picture with cut-outs of traditional Croatian national dresses. To complete the experience, we will be serving authentic Croatian candy for everyone to enjoy.
Cyprus: Flora and Fauna Puzzles and Design Workshop (Ages 2-10)
Join us to play and learn about Cyprus flora and fauna, let’s decorate our station with your drawings!
Denmark: VR Cycling + Costumes (Ages 4-12)
Try our virtual reality experience of cycling through Copenhagen and dress up in Danish Royal Guard costumes!
Estonia: Eco-friendly Fall Crafts for Kids (Ages 2-10)
Come and join us to build your own acorn animals, get creative at the art station, and test your knowledge with a playful quiz all about Estonia!
European Union: Spin the EU Wheel (All ages)
Spin the EU wheel, test your knowledge of the European Union and its 27 member countries, and win a prize!
Germany: Button Machine + Wheel of Fortune (Ages 4-12)
Come and puzzle with us or try your luck at our Wheel of Fortune and win a small prize. Create your own button with our button machine and take a look at our German themed coloring book.
Ireland: Gaelic Games & Soccer Workshop (Ages 4-12)
Come outside to the grassy area for a soccer workshop and try your hand at some traditional Irish sports with the DC Gaels!
Latvia: Block Building & Coloring (All ages)
Build your magical world from Latvian cardboard blocks. Also join us in coloring the “My Little Latvia Book” and see the best of Latvian culture and art!
Malta: Story Times + Traditional Maltese Games (Ages 4-12)
Join the Maltese story times at 10:30am and 12pm and come to our table to play our traditional Maltese games!
Netherlands: Meet Miffy + Coloring (Ages 2-8)
We invite the youngest children to meet special guest Miffy ("Nijntje") and join us for Miffy coloring sessions!
Portugal: Story Times (Ages 4-12)
Join the Portuguese story times at 11am and 1pm!
Slovenia: Meet the Bees (All ages)
Meet the (live) bees and a talk to a beekeeper. Test your bee knowledge with our quiz and do some coloring.
Spain: Story Time s(Ages 4-12)
Join the bilingual Spanish story times at 11:30am and 1:30pm!
Ukraine: Journey HOME (Ages 4-12)
Visit the interactive installation, Journey HOME, dedicated to the return of Ukrainian children. Decorate the large letters that spell HOME with mosaics, handprints, paper doves and flowers.
European Investment Bank: Rebuilding Ukraine - Brick by Brick (Ages 4-12)
Learn how the EU is supporting Ukrainian children and rebuilding schools. Using our cubes and building blocks, imagine how you too can help. Watch a video of a dance performance and piano concert with singers from a Ukraine school rebuilt with funding from the EU's European Investment Bank.

Additional Notes
- Photography and video recording will take place during the event for the use of the EU Delegation and EU Member States. Photos may be shared on our websites, social media channels and Flickr account. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a staff member when you arrive and you will receive a bracelet to wear.
- By registering for this event, you assume all risks and agree not to hold the European Union Delegation to the United States, the EU Member States, Spanish Cultural Center nor their staff, contractors, affiliates, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury.
Security & Safety
- No firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons, or explosives, either openly or concealed are allowed on the premises. The prohibition on firearms applies to all visitors, including those with firearm permits. No smoking or vaping allowed. No animals are allowed.
- To keep everyone safe, visitors will be required to walk through a metal detector before entering the venue. Those who are unable to go through the metal detector will be hand-screened by security personnel.
