About this Event

Bourne2Fly Community Clean-up and Walk

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact on our community and your health while having fun? Look no further! Our Community Clean-Up and Walk Event is just around the corner! This is our 3rd year hosting quarterly, so check out the dates, and sign up!

This event is all about coming together as a community and taking action in our health and to keep our neighborhood clean and beautiful. We believe that by working together, we can create a lasting impact and foster a sense of unity, safety, and pride in our community.

Here's what you can expect at our event:

  • Music to add a lively atmosphere as we clean
  • Cleaning supplies provided, including trash bags, gloves, and claws (CleanCity DC)
  • Bring the kids along! We will have sidewalk chalk for them to unleash their creativity and add color to our sidewalks.
  • After the cleanup, stick around for double dutch fun with DC retro jumpers.

During the event, you have two options:

  1. Walk: Take a leisurely walk around our neighborhood, appreciating its beauty and enjoying some fresh air. Connect with fellow community members and immerse yourself in the community spirit.
  2. Plog: Join our plogging group for a faster pace and a more intensive workout. Plogging combines jogging with picking up litter, providing a fitness opportunity with a positive environmental impact.

Routes can be found on the Strava app.

By participating in this event, you will not only contribute to the cleanliness of our neighborhood but also have the chance to meet new people, make friends, and strengthen the sense of community here in Brookland.

Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to make a difference and have some fun with friends and family.

Remember, unity and action keeps our neighborhood clean and safe!

We can't wait to see you at the gym. Let's make our neighborhood shine!

(Note: Doors open at 11am, walk/run groups leave at 11:30am for the clean up.)

For more information or questions, please contact Leila Bournes.

See you there!
