July CERT Communications Drill and Hike
About this Event
On Saturday, July 11th at 9am our team will meet at our Command Post (CP), a blue pop-up tent with a remote amateur radio station located in the parking lot north of the Trails Cafe (2333 Fern Dell Dr. Los Angeles, CA). We'll conduct CERT Communications Drill and Hike as we go past the Observatory, through the Berlin Forrest, to Mt. Hollywood. Via amateur radio our team will communicate with the CP. Our hikes last between two to three hours. Monitor ACS 1, while driving to the park and we'll use FRS 5 for the hike. We'll work on communications and teamwork. To promote our program and present a positive image please wear your favorite CERT t-shirt. Bring a comfortable pair of shoes, water, and a mask. Email [email protected]. Our monthly hikes are available to all.
