Join People of Color Outdoors (POCO) for an observation walk through Upper Macleay Park - a walk designed to teach one of the most valuable skills a person can develop in nature: the ability to slow down, truly observe, and share what you notice.
Each participant will choose one layer of the forest to watch for the entire walk, such as the canopy overhead, the shrub layer at eye level, the ground beneath your feet, or the air itself. We stop twice to compare what each layer revealed. The walk closes with journal time before boarding the shuttle. The conversation continues on the ride home.
Great for families with children. This walk is hands-on and discovery-driven.
