Black Like Cash:
Pete Best is a Maryland-based singer-songwriter blending southern rock grit with country storytelling. His music is rooted in real life — from songs about family and resilience to turn-it-up bar anthems. Pete’s music is built to connect — not chase trends.
Already a popular voice in the Baltimore/Washington Area before moving to Nashville, Pete and his band, the aptly named Peterbuilt, have opened for established stars, including Jack Ingram and Pat Green. Pete released his debut CD, Built to Last, in 2008 and made a splash with fans at the 2008 CMA Musical Festival. Growing up in Annapolis, Md., Pete enjoyed a variety of musical styles but developed a passion for country music because of the lyric-driven content of the songs. “It’s great to connect with an audience, but I am first and foremost a songwriter,” Pete says. “I love to tell a great story through music.” Pete signed with Dan Hodges Music, LLC in January 2011 and was with the company until 2016.

Fade Away:
Acclaimed singer/songwriter Dana Cooper has amassed a catalog of 30+ albums and continues to tour actively. His latest release, “The Ghost of Tucumcari,” features an All-Star lineup of guest artists, including Lyle Lovett, Hayes Carll, Susan Gibson, Darden Smith, and Shake Russell. The album, voted No. 1 on the 2024 Americana Highways Poll, takes listeners on a stirring musical journey across genres from folk and rock to country and Americana.
Central to Cooper's unique artistry is his ability to connect with audiences through his authentic stories and warm stage presence. He does flat-picking, finger-picking, and percussive strumming on his guitar and mixes in harmonica.
As one critic noted: “He sings like an angel and plays like the devil."
His decades of experience shine through in the ease and humor he brings to both his playing and storytelling. Though he's performed with folk and Americana greats, Cooper has always followed his own musical vision.
"Few artists can claim to make music for 50 years and still do so with the same eagerness and enthusiasm that marked their initial efforts,” said American songwriter Lee Zimmerman.
Acclaimed musician Hayes Carll said it best, “Dana has a poet's eye for beauty and detail; a blues man's soul; and a songbird's gift. He is remarkable."
