Introducing the Waste Reduction Roadmap '30

The City just launched the Waste Reduction Roadmap ‘30. A five-year plan supporting the City’s goal of reducing residential waste by 20% per person by 2044. Join us to learn about:

• Roadmap ‘30’s goals and objectives for 2026-2030 and how it will support waste reduction.
• Plans for organizations to get involved in 2026 planning for the five-year action plan.

Agenda:

• Opening Remarks
• Update from the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Waste team about their Commercial Food Waste Diversion Pilot.
• Review opportunities to get involved in 2026 activities

Getting to the event - Transit and Parking:

Transit options include the Churchill LRT station (exit via City Hall LRT Access), and the nearest bus stops are at 99 Street & 103A Ave and 100 Street & 103A Avenue. Parking is available at City Hall for $5/hour. Public access to City Hall main floor via elevator to P1 and P3.

Upon entering, you will go through a security screening and bag check. Once you've cleared the screening, turn right or ask a staff member, who will be aware of the event and can guide you to the Heritage Room.
