Intro to Woodturning

Your journey with woodturning begins here! This 2-day course will teach you the very fundamentals of turning and proper tool use.
With expert guidance, you will learn how to safely and proficiently use a lathe while turning a variety of projects. Day 1 will begin with tool techniques and spindle turning. Students are welcome to turn a variety of small projects which can include a candle stick (insert provided), honey dipper, mallet, and/or rolling pin.
On Day 2 students will build upon their skills and learn how to turn a small bowl.
Tool sharpening, materials selection and finishing will also be covered throughout the course.
This class is open to beginners brand new to woodturning, as well as woodturners looking to refine their skills. You will leave with the confidence and inspiration to use a lathe at home for years to come!
