Intro to Wood Bending - 4 Spots Left!

Learn a variety of wood bending methods in this comprehensive, hands-on class. Under the guidance of master carpenter and wood bending expert Michael Belzowski, students will learn through a combination of demonstrations and the opportunity to create their own custom forms. Students will make a variety of different forms for different wood bending methods. The class will also cover how to build a simple steam box and how to build a trammel for a router. Michael will discuss clamping, shaping, and joining curved parts.
Students are encouraged to bring ideas or specific components they’d like to create during class. You will receive one-on-one instruction and, over the course of the week, complete your own custom project. If you are interested in learning these skills and have no project in mind, not a problem! Michael will provide example project ideas in class.
