This beginner-friendly class covers the essential early steps of successful 3D printing, from idea to first layer. Participants will learn how to prepare and set up a 3D printer, search for and evaluate print files, check file formats before downloading, and manage files efficiently. We’ll explore slicer basics and key settings that make or break a print, plus the critical checkpoints to watch for while a print is running.
Are you ready to bring your wildest ideas to life? With guidance from our expert instructor, Jon Hoffman of Javeron 3D, you’ll learn how designs become real objects like personalized phone cases, toys, or even a mini version of your favorite superhero. The class concludes with a live demonstration showing how a printer is loaded and the start of a print, highlighting the all-important first layer.
No prior experience required, just a curious mind and a love for creativity!
Cost is $40 per station. Price is per station for any Parent/Child who wish to attend together.
2 sessions available! Monday, February 23rd 10am and 4pm.
