Cricut 101: From Intimidation to Inspiration with Karen
Schedule

In this class, Karen will walk through everything step by step, at a comfortable pace, with plenty of time for questions. You’ll learn how to connect your Cricut to your computer or device using USB or Bluetooth, download and install Cricut Design Space, and create your Cricut username and account. In addition, we will discuss the difference between heat transfer and permanent vinyl, as well as other materials and how to cut them most effectively! Together we’ll complete the guided first cut by making a vinyl decal so you can see the magic happen right away.
We’ll also talk through where designs come from, so you understand what you’re downloading and why it matters. You’ll learn how to download a paper project in SVG format, upload it into Design Space, and successfully cut your first paper craft project with confidence.
By the end of the workshop, your Cricut will no longer feel intimidating, you’ll leave with a finished product in hand, and that “still new” machine at home will finally feel like a creative tool instead of a box of wasted potential!
$30 is the price for this 60 to 90 minute workshop and includes all materials.
Multiple times and dates available! Thursday, January 22nd 1:00pm and 6:00pm and Sunday, January 25th 2:00pm and 6:00pm. Register today and see our entire class schedule at steaminnovationlabs.org/classes
