About the class:
An introduction to consent, boundaries, and best practices for performers to learn to advocate for themselves and create safe spaces to do their best work. You will learn the basic pillars of consent, how to set boundaries, how to collaborate with an Intimacy Director and how to assess when one is needed.
Class will run approximately two hours and is limited to 16 participants.
About the Instructors:
DANIELLA CAGGIANO (she/they) is a queer disabled intimacy director, director, and proud third generation New Yorker. Recent ID work: The Last Supper (Gene Frankel), Midnight Coleslaw (The Tank), Maiden Voyage (The Flea), King of the Jews (HERE), The Gett (Rattlestick), The Trouble With Dead Boyfriends (Players), King Lear (The Center at West Park) and Zoetrope (Exquisite Corpse Company, NYTimes Critics Pick). She also works in and with schools such as Brooklyn College, University of Pennsylvania, Philips Exeter Academy, LaGuardia High School, The College of New Jersey, Alfred University, NYU, and Waterwell/ PPAS to bring consent-forward language and practices into their rehearsal and classrooms. Daniella is IDC trained and certified in Mental Health First Aid.

Hannah Elizabeth Williams is a New York City–based actor, intimacy director, and creative. A graduate of AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy), she received her training with IDC (Intimacy Directors and Coordinators), bringing a consent-forward, collaborative approach to storytelling across stage and screen. As a performer, Hannah’s work spans theater, film, and digital media. Her credits include swinging for Stephanie and Michelle Tanner in Full House: A Musical Parody, playing Kayla in Still Waiting for Lefty, and starring in her original short film The Bestie. In addition to her work as a performer, Hannah works as an Intimacy Director across stage productions, short films, and independent projects. Her recent credits include Royal Escape, Secrets of Hollow School, Under Cover Desire, Young Mafia Widow, and Women Who Cut. Hannah has also worked behind the scenes as a producer and script supervisor on multiple web series and films, including Cady Did and Seneca.
