Do you like to start your day with a morning coffee? Enjoy a fruit salad for breakfast? Slip on your favourite pairs of jeans and shirt? None of these things would be possible without the work of insect pollinators such as bees, flies and butterflies. Learn about the amazing relationship between insects and the plants they pollinate and the vital ecoservices our insect pollinators provide.Bring the family for this insect pollinator workshop presented by entomologist Michelle Gleeson of Bugs Ed. Learn about the wide variety of insect pollinators and how they interact with the plants they pollinate.
Recommended for adults with children 7 years and older.
Make a day of it and join us in the morning for all of the activities on offer at IndigiScapes as we celebrate Australian Pollinator Week, inlcuding native beehive observations, pollinator craft for children, BirdLife Queensland exhibit and meet an orphan Flying-fox with volunteers from Bat Conservation and Rescue Qld.
