What happens when you close your eyes and truly listen to your body?
Inner Vision is a unique 2-hour workshop where you'll practise yoga blindfolded — removing the distractions of the outside world to discover what's happening in your inner world.
What Is Interoception?
Interoception is your ability to sense what's happening inside your body — your heartbeat, your breath, the subtle tension in your shoulders, the warmth in your hands, the butterflies in your stomach. It's the quiet conversation between body and mind that we mostly ignore.
Modern life pulls our attention outward — to screens, to lists, to other people's needs. Inner Vision is 90 minutes of doing the opposite. With your eyes covered, you're invited to finally hear what your body has been trying to tell you.
What to Expect
You'll arrive and settle in. We'll offer a warm welcome, show you to your mat, and provide a soft eye mask (yours to keep). The lights will be low, the room will smell beautifully of candles and calm, and we'll take a few minutes together before the practice begins.
Once the mask is on, you're fully supported. Every movement is guided with the voice — clearly, slowly, and without rush. You never need to worry about what it looks like, whether you're doing it "right," or keeping up with anyone else. There is no one else. There's just you, your breath, and your body.
The practice flows in four parts:
Breathwork — Simple, grounding breath practices to calm the nervous system and bring your attention inward.
Gentle interoceptive movement — Slow, accessible movements that help you notice how your body actually feels from the inside, not how it looks from the outside.
Passive stretching — Supported, restorative shapes held with props and bolsters, allowing deep release without effort.
Meditation — A guided journey into stillness, listening to the subtle sensations of being alive
Afterwards, you'll share a warm drink with us to talk through the experience — what you felt, what surprised you, what settled. This part is optional but deeply valued. Conversation after stillness often brings beautiful insights.
You take home your eye mask as a reminder to keep listening inward long after the workshop ends.
Benefits:
For your nervous system
Modern living keeps most of us in a low-grade state of "fight or flight" — shoulders up, jaw tight, breath shallow. Our sympathetic nervous system is always slightly switched on. Inner Vision is designed, top to tail, to coax you into the parasympathetic state — the body's "rest and digest" mode, where healing, repair, and genuine calm happen.
Removing visual input is profoundly soothing to the nervous system. Roughly half of the brain is devoted to processing what we see. When sight is gently taken away, that processing load drops significantly, and the body receives a clear signal: you are safe, you can soften.
You may notice:
Slower, deeper breathing without trying
A heartbeat that gradually steadies
Tension melting from places you didn't realise you were holding
A sense of spaciousness and quiet inside the body
For connection within
Most of us live from the neck up — in our thoughts, our plans, our worries. Interoceptive practices reconnect the mind to the body's signals, which has been shown to support:
Emotional regulation — when you can sense what your body is feeling, you can respond to emotions rather than react to them
Intuition and decision-making — the body often knows things before the mind catches up
Body confidence and self-trust — learning to listen to (and trust) what you feel
Reduced rumination — less looping in the mind when you're grounded in the body
Better sleep — a regulated nervous system rests more deeply
For your practice
Taking away sight does something extraordinary to yoga.
Balance becomes internal.
Alignment becomes felt rather than seen.
Poses you thought you knew reveal themselves in new ways.
Even gentle movements become profound when you can actually feel them.
Many students leave blindfolded yoga experiences thinking it as the first time they truly experienced yoga rather than performed it.
Who This Is For
This workshop is for you if:
You're new to yoga and nervous about starting — without sight, there's no comparison, no one watching, no "right way" to look. It's the most forgiving environment you could step into.
You're an overthinker — if your mind rarely switches off, this practice gives it somewhere to rest.
You carry stress, anxiety, or burnout — the nervous system downshift here is genuine and restorative.
You struggle to sleep or relax — interoceptive practices build the foundation for deep rest.
You feel disconnected from your body — whether from injury, trauma, medical treatment, or just modern life, this is a gentle way to reconnect.
You're an experienced practitioner seeking depth — familiar practices become completely new when sight is removed.
You want to slow down and actually feel something — in a world that pulls you outward, this is a beautiful pull inward.
Who Should Approach With Care
This workshop is gentle and supported, but if you've recently experienced significant trauma, have severe anxiety around eye coverings, or live with certain vestibular conditions, please have a chat with Jade beforehand so we can make sure you feel safe and held throughout. You're always welcome to remove the eye mask at any point — no questions, no judgement.
