About this Event

About the Class: Love. Jealousy. Betrayal. Ambition. Shakespeare used powerful emotions to tell timeless stories that still captivate audiences today–and you can too! Learn the building blocks of improvised Shakespeare including language patterns, narrative devices, and character archetypes to create a larger-than-life Shakespearean comedy on the spot. This class will add techniques to your improv toolkit to use in improvised Shakespeare and beyond. This class requires students to have completed LIP's Improv 201 or Artistic Director approval. Students must be 18 or older for this class.

This Class will run Wednesdays from 7pm-9:30pm on the following dates: 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, [no class 11/25], and 12/2. This class has a class show on Thursday 12/3 at 7:00pm! Ticket sale close at the end of the day on Sunday 10/4/26.

Important: Please check your email the week prior to the start date of your class for any updates.

To qualify for the class show you must:

  1. Adhere to the Lancaster Improv Players' Code of Conduct.
  2. Attend at least six of the eight sessions (ideally all eight).

Tickets are on sale until end of day Sunday 10/4!
