Ignite Volunteerism Speaker Series - National Volunteer Week

Enjoy snacks and refreshments while connecting with others who are passionate about community. We are expecting approximately 75 guests to attend.

Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Location: Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (850 4 St. SE, Calgary, AB)
Guests should enter through the museum’s north doors located on 4th Street, beside the National Music Centre Café. The event will take place in the SoundScape Room on the second floor of the museum.

Guests arrive, check in, and enjoy a drink and snack

5:30 – 5:40 PM
A Volunteer Calgary representative welcomes attendees, speaks to the importance of volunteerism in Calgary at a high level, highlights the value it brings to both the community and volunteers, and introduces Councillor Yule

5:40 – 6:00 PM
Councillor Yule shares his personal experience with volunteering, including the organizations he has supported, the roles he has taken on, how these experiences have shaped who he is, connected him to community, instilled values in his children, and enriched his life

6:00 – 6:45 PM
Youth Volunteer Panel

6:45 – 7:00 PM
Volunteer speaker provides closing remarks and wraps up the event

7:00 – 7:30 PM
Networking and opportunity for guests to mingle and explore the second floor of the museum
